Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, October 30, 2012 – 2:00 pm
Board of Selectmen: Chairman Rob Wimpory, Selectwoman Karen Day; Selectwoman Debra Davidson arriving at 3pm

The meeting was called to order at 2:00 PM by Chairman Wimpory.
2:00 PM Discussion on the Tax Rate
The Board discussed the information received from the Department of Revenue Administration (DRA). The preliminary information forwarded from the DRA showed the School rate increasing by .81 cents over 2011. The Town tax rate was discussed and the Administrator provided a worksheet outlining the use of fund balance.
After deliberation the Board decided to keep the Overlay at the 2011 level and to use fund balance to reduce the tax rate from $23.18 to $22.11.
The Board held a phone call with a DRA representative who received the information on the Overlay and the use of fund balance. The tax rate was preliminarily set at $22.11 with an increase of .29 cents in the Town rate over 2011.

There being no further business, Selectman Wimpory moved to adjourn the meeting. Selectwoman Davidson seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
